2020 was a rough year. I know people like to say that about a lot of years lately. But, I think 2020 has earned this tagline.
I just finished my second workout of 2021 and am currently writing this on my lunch break from my “real job”. My mood is better, I feel more awake and ready to jump back into work. I need to remember this feeling so that I continue with my workouts and not get discouraged by the lack of results. This spirit lift should be all the reward needed to keep going. The rest will sort itself out.
My sister used to say something like that. I am still thinking of her, but instead of being sad, I’m remembering her spirit and what she would likely say to me. Anytime I would be having trouble, she would say, “Give it up to God.” She always said that you can only do what you are able to do and the rest is up to God. While I don’t entirely share her beliefs, I do try to remember to the spirit of the saying and do what I can and leave the rest to the universe.
So, I am trying not to set too many goals or resolutions for 2021. My only hope is that I will continue to work on myself so that I can reflect back on today and be able to see personal and professional growth.
