For this weekend’s Virtual VKL, I created this new colorway for you. It’s a dye-to-order and won’t be on the site forever. So, make sure you grab it if you want it.
This is a mostly dusty gray-blue yarn with specs of yellow, pink, green, and purple in it.

I called it Conversations because it reminded me of the Conversation Hearts that we all get at Valentine’s Day (even though they are totally gross). But, also, I wanted something that represented the conversations that are happing in the country (and world) today (finally).
As a white woman, I’ve been doing a lot of listening. It’s not been easy. But, it’s been necessary. Even within my own family there have been secrets finally being let out. I come from a ‘mixed’ family and we were shielded from certain things that we shouldn’t have been. And I’m glad that these things are finally coming to light so that we can heal and move forward as a better family and better people. I hope this country can do the same.
I will keep listening and I hope you do, too.
Sending you all my love on this Valentine’s Day.
